Babylon's Burning

About Me

There was a revolution in the making back in '73 and no way of stopping it! Babylon's Burning is the ultimate Punk Rock box set documenting the rise of such a radical reaction to life and what had become boring musical disillusionment among the youth at the time. The 4 CD box set charts the musical entity that was the roots of Punk Rock to the explosion that was...PUNK RAWK. 'Babylon's Burning' has been compiled by Clinton Heylin, author of the book published on 25th January 2007 in hardback. From the early American rumbles of the Modern Lovers, New York Dolls, Heartbreakers, Richard Hell to the UK's early evolution of the punk roots Dr. Feelgood and Kilburn And The High Roads to the 76 onslaught of The Sex Pistols, The Damned, X Ray Spex to name but a few. Each CD charts the influences and birth of this musical phenomenon with many rare and hard to find demo's, live recordings and studio sessions. A punk rock happening int he making and nothing has sounded this good or this dirty since the birth of raw Rockabilly back in the 1950's.
