Jodie Elms is currently busy in the studio writing and recording her new album with producer Mark Hill (-producer and co-writer of Craig David’s hit album “Born To Do Itâ€). So… watch this space!
â€Pretty When You Cry†is a sneak preview off of Jodie’s album. â€I wanted to write a song about domestic violence, written from the point of the woman. It’s a hard-hitting subject matter… so it was tricky trying to confront it head-on, and keep the lyrics poetic at the same time. I know that it’s some thing that a lot of women out there can relate to… and it is a subject that really angers me… so I had to get my feelings about it off of my chest.â€
A bit about Jodie…
Jodie has been singing since she was 9years old, when she began her training in classical singing, and performing as soloist for The Highcliff Girls Choir; touring the country and performing in such venues as The Royal Albert Hall and The Barbican. Jodie then went on the study Rock and Pop performance, and in 2001 she graduated with distinction in Vocals & Live Performance from and acclaimed music accademy.
Jodie then went on to work extensively as a session singer during which time she worked with many artists including: Danni Minogue, Beverly Knight, Angel City, Ace (-Skunk Anansi) and French super star- Cerrone, to name a few.

In 2003 Jodie had a NUMBER 1 HIT in Italy with her song “Its All about You!†(Belmond Rulez 2.0 remixes by Bob Sinclair) Dr Kucho feat. Jodie. Jodie performed her hit live at the MTV Music Awards, Milan, Followed by a Live PA Club tour. Jodie’s music video was shown on MTV across Europe.
LIVE 8!...
In 2005 Jodie sang backing vocals for the LIVE8! Concert in Paris, France. Jodie performed her song ‘Sunrise’, for disco legend Marc Cerrone at ‘Cerrone’s Dance Party in Versailles!’ The outrageous concert drew a crowd over 100,000 people! Watch the DVD now on this site!
