In a crowded auditorium in the powerful concert hall October Palace in Kiev/Ukrane, New Tango Orquesta made one of their most intense and magic concerts during 2008. The performance was recorded by Victor Ovchinnikov, and was never really made for more than just a recording, but the thought of releasing “The Kiev Concert” as a proper album grew when it seemed to convey exactly that electricity which appeared under those cut-glass chandeliers.
“The Kiev Concert” contains material from “Bestiario” and “Part II”, but the live performances are different from the studio versions both by temperament and intense, and also by arrangements, because of their “increasing” with the fabulous cellist Johanna Dahl, who actually makes the record debut with New Tango Orquesta on this record.

Hi and welcome!
New tango, baroque and jazz music are the main ingredients, but there is also minimalism and romantique, and some regular banal things, like passion...
Short info: toured all over the world, done performances on rock venues in Moscow, tango venues in Buenos Aires, jazz clubs in Istanbul and concert halls in Beijing; released four records: "The New Tango Orquesta" 1998, "Part II" 2000, the Swed Grammy-nominated "Bestiario" 2005 and the soon-to-come live album "The Kiev Concert". Next album "Vesper" is coming in oct 2009. We've also made music to film, theatre and different performances.
