I Will Let you Down Again (rehearsal)

Shady Place (rehearsal)

Wish Sign Acoustic Live at the Tap and Spile Darlington 01/07/2007

Band Rehersal at Elegant House Darlington 2006

Tucked In Sleep : raw demo just after it had been written 2005

We are The Maginot Line. We've been told we sound like: Pearl Jam, The Cure, Alice in Chains, The Verve, Boxer Rebellion, Puressence, Hope of the States, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins.

Our sound ranges from Kasabianesque indie'96 hooks to pixiesesque twang mixed with Soundgardenesque/ pumpkinsesque meloncholy and a lot of rock.
Come see us play.

Sounds Like: What people have said about us
"The Maginot Line are a difficult band to explain. Their sound/genre is a constant source of debate even within the band themselves. The one thing that is clear is that their songs are growers. Each can take a little while to really filter through, but when they do they can stay in your head for days. With a growing collection of strong songs and five extremely capable performers there is a potential for great things" - www.dognoise.co.uk

"From the café-like bar, it’s a short hop beyond the Harry Potter-esque door to where Darlington band The Maginot Line are playing. They build slowly before climaxing in a bruising wall of noise. The vocalist gyrates to the twin guitar assault. Blistering drumming like howitzers fills the room with sonic shrapnel." - Rob Nicholls, The Evening Gazette
"The Maginot's music has a depressive minor key quality to it but is stopped from sounding maudlin by the powerful rock vocalisations of Jonny Galloway. The music is a complex soundscape, atmospheric and pacey"
"BIG.MOTHER.FUCKING.WALL.OF.BASTARD.BASTARD.SOUND. I love the way stu and daves guitars go together, it's like watching lezza porn. YEAH stu and daves guitars are lezza's, fit one's n'all. Dave is the shy one, probably a student or a nurse and stu is the teacher or friends mam, he's all dirty and in your face. Great Band, Great Songs, you can't mock their vibe, it's cool as fuck. Can't wait to hear their demo"
