About Me

Hello everyone,I am a singer / songwriter / guitarist based out of Hollywood, California. I write blues, country, rock, and folk songs with a little R&B and jazz mixed in. I just released my album "Revolution Of One" and you can hear some of the songs here. The CD is for sale on my website at www.jinxtunes.com for only $5! I hope you like the songs and will come and see me live. I always play a lot of rockin' uptempo songs at my shows to keep it fun for all. I play around Hollywood, San Fernando Valley, and Santa Monica, as well as Santa Barbara, Palm Springs and San Diego. Please check my schedule for shows. If you like the songs please add me as a friend, and if you are a Country/Americana/Folk artist let's link up!I am recording acoustic demos of new songs and i will continue to add those as they are finished.I have a wide range of influences and write in many styles. I play many different guitars to facilitate the different sounds, grooves and textures. I play Martin 6 and 12 string guitars, National and Regal Dobros for slide and open tunings, and I have some nice nylon string models for intimate melodic tex-mex and Spanish/flamenco flavored songs. The songs on this album (Revolution Of One) are a collection of some of the stories and emotions from the last several years of my life. Please take a listen. The songs:1. Walkin' - When I'm restless late at night I go out walkin' around town, sometimes I'm able to sort out my thoughts, other times I just walk.2. Beautiful Boy - A friend of mine lost his son to suicide and the emotions that surrounded the family and the funeral became the inspiration for this song. I will never forget the sadness of seeing the front rows of the funeral filled with high school kids.3. Round And Round Blues - At one time I lived in a wherehouse full of band rehearsal studios and there was a couple living in the studio next door to me. They loved playing dark magical metal, and fighting, and did a lot of both. They were always throwing things and stomping up and down the stairs. This song is about living together (willfully or not) with someone when you know the relationship is over (or should be).4. The Hawk - An instrumental inspired by the flight of the birds of prey around Arizonas' Grand Canyon.5. Watch The Tracks - For those who have been in a long distance relationship. This song is about loving someone who is very far away, and getting the feeling that it's not going so well.6. Suits Me Fine - A tune about a crazy drunken trip through the incredible rain storms of the South . . . . "to Austin, we'll make it alive".The groovy players that made this record sound great are: 1. Sharon Kearney - recording, mixing, engineering, mastering. 2. Pianos and Hammond B-3 organs by Mike Mangan (bigorgantrio.com) 3. Drums by Darren Edwards (rockingscoundrels.com) 4. Congas by Darren Rogholt. All music and lyrics by Jinx. Copyright 2006. All rights reserved.
