Jerry Garcia ~ Lead Guitar/Vocals/Arranger ~ This creative artist, multi-talented performer and studio session player, never fails to thrill audiences with his exciting guitar solos and professional vocals. With a music career spanning most of his life, he has enjoyed success playing with many bands in the San Francisco Bay Area including Jorge Santana & Richard Bean from the band "Malo", Eddie Money, Bloodstone and "E-2" recording star Eric Hayslett. His musical influences include Funk, R & B, Soul, Jazz and Rock. Involved with every aspect of Hyperactive Band, Jerry enjoys not only peforming for audiences but also engineering the band's sound and song arrangements.
Stevn De Lozada ~ Bass Guitar/Keyboards ~ A professional studio, stage and touring artist, Stevn has a long list of credits including touring with accomplished artists Jorge Santana/Richard Bean/Malo, Sylvester and the Hot Band and Coke Escovito. His main music influences are Acid Jazz, Adult Contemporary Jazz, Hip-Hop, R& B, British Pop and Old School Funk. He likens his keyboard style to such artists as Mint Condition, Chucky Booker, Bobby Lyle and David Benolt. When not performing his music, Stevn's time is spent as a High Fashion Photographer.
Firooz Sadigh ~ Drums/Percussion ~ A solid, groove drummer, Firooz has over 25 years of musical expertise. His musical career began with playing in "Cover Bands" during his youth in Iran and England and progressing as a Percussionist performing with such artists as Clifford Coulter, Johnny Reason and The Groove Kings. Firooz now makes his home in the San Francisco Bay Area and when not playing his music, his time is spent as a DJ for local clubs and private functions. His musical tastes flow from Funk, Jazz and R&B to Reggae and Rock. With an ever-growing passion for rhythym, Firooz never fails in his performance to find the right groove and drive it home!
Lowell Watson ~ Keyboards/Trombone/Lead Vocals ~ Whether it's his creative trombone styling or commanding stage presence, Lowell Watson has been entertaining audiences for more than 20 years. He has performed with local groups in the San Francicso Bay Area such as The Funkateers, Abel and Groove City, just to name a few. Gifted with perfect pitch, Lowell is responsible not only for arranging the horn section but also the sweet vocal harmonies that give the band its rich and full sound.
Juan Carlos ~ Percussion/Keyboards/Bass ~ Having a long and distinguished peforming and recording career, including working with Digital Underground, Sheila E, Pete Escovedo and Tower of Power's vocalist Lenny Williams, it's no wonder Juan Carlos is considered a multi-dimensional artist with the double gold "Sons of the P" under his belt. He is a master of Afro-Cuban and Brazilian drums as well as Easterm Indian percussion. Also accomplished on keyboards and bass, he runs the musical gamut from Latin Jazz to Zydeco. This gifted vocalist and performer has toured the world from Japan to Paris. A New Orleans native who makes his home in Oakland, California, he is a vital participant in the San Francisco Bay Area's legendary music scene.
Aijai Anderson ~ Vocals ~ Soulful, strong and unique best describe this neo-soulstress. Aijai Anderson has recently begun moving the masses as a solo artist but got her start singing in church as well as background for established Gospel and R&B artists. Raised in the inner city of Oakland, California, she is passionate about participating in philanthropic endeavors, primarily focusing on enhancing the lives of at-risk and disadvantaged youth, in addition to those gifted in the Performing Arts. She has been compared to such greats as Ella Fitzgerald, Chaka Khan and Patti LaBelle but this vocal powerhouse is as original as they come. Her gift for writing and arranging are conveyed through each song she delivers. Aijai's debut EP, Family Reunion, is available now through cdbaby.com and at Amoeba Music in San Francisco.
