About Me

.. ..It all started out in New Ulm, Minnesota first learning to play the piano, then accordion, concertina, and a little trumpet with my Dad and my brothers. We played German music, and by the time I was a teenager I had already played dozens of professional engagements and recorded two albums.I continued to refine my skills through the '70's and by the advent of the "Hair Band" craze found myself touring first for 4 years playing Keyboards, Guitar and Trumpet with the U.S. Air Force band, and later with Pearl, Impact, Sudden Impact, Pretty Boy, and the Fanatics. All the while I expanded my interest in various styles of music, including gospel, jazz, r&b, funk, and pretty much whatever I could get my hands on. With more than 70 guest appearances on local recordings, instructional videos, and numerous sub positions under my belt.I currently play Sunday and Monday nights with Dr. Mambo's Combo or "the Combo" at Bunkers in Minneapolis. I play Tuesday nights with the Tuesday Night Band for B3 Organ night at the Artists' Quarter in St. Paul. You can also find me on Sunday mornings playing at Living Word, which is also simulcast on KARE 11 TV and other affiliates across the country. Since end of 2008 I have been playing several dates with the Jonny Lang Band as well. I really enjoy playing his newer music. It has a lot of depth.
I am also the owner/proprietor of BB Organ, a specialty shop which caters to Hammond Organs, Leslie Speakers, and those who enjoy playing and listening to them. My shop has built many Custom Hammond B3 Chop Organs. I have had the great privilege of helping out some of the greats in the music industry with their dream of pursuing music using the Hammond Organ.
