About Me

I am a guitarist with over 23 years playing experience. I have recorded over four CD's and have written 2 books. My latest book is entitled Pieces of Me and is the opening up of my journal as a mentally ill man (I have bipolar Type II) and an abuse victim. It contains my songs, poems musings and rememberings. There needs to be more advocacy regarding mental illness, for it seems to be one of the last social taboos in our culture. It is every bit as much of a physical illness as is cancer, AIDS, or diabettes. Look for it to be published soon, and it will explain all. In addition I am a member of the National Alliance for Mental Illness and the outreach director for our local drop-in center in Oak Park, IL.
