This is a collection of my short music carreer and some new stuff I recorded. Three of them are my own pieces, but three are covers of songs close at heart. Damien Rice, Håkan Hellström and Lykke Li; I hope you don't mind...
"A flower starts growing" is a song I recorded with a band called Face. This recording was actually the first thing we did together. After the three hours in the studio (yes, we didn't meet before that), we decided that the result was so good we had to keep up and see where it could take us. Unfortunately we only lasted for 6 months before we split up and I moved to Gothenburgh. Face was me on vocals, Martin Englund on guitar, Magnus Wall on bass and Christer Teglund on percussion.
"Still" is a song that was created and recorded with my band CoreNix back in my hometown Västerås. We started the band during high school and played at a lot of smaller, local festivals. My god how fun it was! After batteling Sugar Plum Fairy for 3 years at Rock for Moc and arranging a fund raising concert for the homeless in Västerås to mention a few things we went separate in the end of 2001. Corenix was me on vocals and guitar, Martin Berg on lead guitar, Linus Godet on bass and Rickard Sandberg on percussion.
"Forever" is the only self-written/self-recorded song on the site. It was recorded in my living room in the beginning of 2008. Maybe it is the start of something new, hopefully more will come...
Brännö Serenad and blower's daughter were recorded in the middle of October 2006 on my powerbook, directly to the screen microphone. It was a way to express and encapture my feelings for someone really special... Finaly, I decided to record the wonderful song "Tonight" as it was impossible to get hold of the fragile version by Lykke Li.
I hope anyone who by chance finds my small myspace site enjoy that I took the effort publishing my pieces.
Cheers! // Johan Persson
