LUNKER

About Me

Having trouble finding the groove? Not the case for this band out of the central Oregon coast that calls themselves Lunker. With their eclectic mixture of rock, funk, punk, reggae and a splash of brew this band can make you stomp your foot one minute then kick down your best friend the next. Lunker was formed in late 2006 with the idea of just giving themselves a break from the monotonous beating of the daily grind. Within a couple of weeks of jamming it was obvious that playing live was a necessity. The music was running as smoothly as an ice cold beer on a warm summer day. The spearheads of the band included Jerod Smith (guitar), Chad Larimore (drums) and Josh Venti (bass). With their diverse background of musical experiences they quickly began writing rip tide roaring tidal rock that was lacking only one essential ingredient, a thunderous voice to steer this massive vessel. Along came Jesse Lewis, with this final piece to the puzzle Lunker began finding there sound which is a groove heavy, head banging, rock crushing explosion that a blessed few have come to discover. Get a taste of this primal pepper and you’ll be coming back for more. Being out of the rock loop for years Lunker is now trying to establish new relations with other bands and new venues to spread this infectious rash throughout the pacific northwest. Give a listen then let them know what you think.I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
