About Me

It all started when Al had a band called Two Days Too Late, way back when. After a bit of a disagreement with the drummer, Graeme stepped up to the challenge and they've been pals ever since. TDTL disbanded in 2004 when everyone decided to go their own seperate ways, Graeme concentrated on another band, "Hooray For Me", and Al formed "Quarter Mile" with buddy Dave. Brought back together through their love of jap cars, anime, martial arts and swordfight cinema, along with their passion to find a new sound, The boys started writing in late 2006, fusing emotional acoustic melodies with drum and bass tinged beats and basslines and rock roots. Jon was added in June 2007 to complete the lineup when it was decided that there were far too many parts and instruments for 3 people to handle (however wushu they may be...)
The name is an homage to the exploits of Takumi Fujiwara, the racing god of Mt. Akina...

So we've just spent 5 days in an amazing studio called Ascape with a wizard producer called Cesar, and a couple of the results are right here for your ears to enjoy. Now our demo is done we're gonna be booking plenty of shows so please come and see us when and where you can!
