About Me

Travis O'Neill is a country/southern rock singer and songwriter from county Sligo in Ireland, currently living in London, UK.
Travis first discovered country music via his parents’ record collection, listening to Johnny Cash at San Quentin and Flatt And Scruggs Foggy Mountain Breakdown albums, these two being his early influences. However Travis then decided to pursue his other musical passion - metal - and has been singing in rock bands since he was sixteen years old.
Travis was singing metal with London based band Locus Now based in Prague Czech Republic is currently singing with Prague metal crossover band www.myspace.com/fireinthehall.cz, Fire in the hall but has now come full circle to realise his country music ambitions: firstly with acoustic southern rock project Gimme Back My Bullets featuring close friends Sid Eryar (Locus) and Dave McEvoy (SHR), and of course now with his solo career. Also with his old friend Dave McEvoy has formed an acoustic metal duo ONeill and McEvoy.
Relying heavily on good songwriting and featuring simply guitar and voice and subject matters such as love, loss, redemption and loneliness, Travis’ songs follow in the tradition of his musical heroes, Hank Williams, Townes Van Zandt and of course Johnny Cash.
Travis is in the process of putting a full band together and the songs will soon feature here.
