Daytoner's daylight hours are spent on an eternal hunt through the vinyl of friends, relatives and the many Cornish charity shops in search of the perfect sunshine samples from yesteryear. These are welded to Daytoner's beats, keys & the input of other local musicians in Daytoner's shed-based HQ to create the sound of a sampled odyssey from a sunburst retro radio.
Daytoner's debut 'Little Wonder' was released in Mar 2009 on limited edition 7" on Wack Records - the mash-up imprint of Northern Funk Legend, Smoove. The 5 tracks on the player represent some of the highlights of a Daytoner LP, provisionally titled 'Sunburst Radio' which is currently being recorded.
