the concept of the mindless thuggs has always been about upsetting and questioning the way most people look at the concept of music. hatched in 1994, from the remains of an early noise band, the coffee acheivers, jon vermont, and bruce horman, together with an ever changing cast of characters assaulted,(and insulted..) the spokane "punk" scene for a good 5 years. almost every band in the area had to deal with us at least one time, some much more.unfortunatly, very few recordings exist from this period. after the last show in spokane, (mootsy's 10/21/99) jon moved to seattle, where he met steve at a bar,(green lantern) after talking about music concepts and stuff, jon loaned steve a recording of an old show. a week or so later, stetve returned the tape, and said, i want to be your drummer. although i wanted to retire the name, everybody around me convinced me to bring it back. over the past 5+ years, the thuggs have played many venues around town, including the blue moon, the funhouse/zak's, the rendevous, al's, and several others.currently, the thuggs have added several new members,( kevin, orion, tugboat jim), and have just had a 2nd cassete released. we are sharing an album with datura blues, that should be out around the end of june. we'll have some new shows listed soon. including jon vermont's 50th birthday! all in all, a pretty good year for the thuggs! i would like to thank everyone who ever took part in this project, and offer no apoligies to the victims
