Cheesy 80's music makes the blues a little easier

About Me

I'm a 22 year old graduate student at SUNY at New Paltz. I completed my undergraduate work at The University at Albany (SUNY product). I graduated with honors with a double major (U.S. History and English). I have a brother and a sister, and I love the color green. I enjoy writing, sports, movies, and especially music; it is my love in life (especially U2 and Third Eye Blind). Additionally, I once broke my leg and I am a really good cook. I will be a teacher some day, assuming my rock star ambition falls to shit. I give good hugs. I rant a lot. I am proud to be my Mother's son, my grandparents' grandson, a Dean's List student, an American, an enthusiast of music, a poet, a writer, and someone who feels.Things I love include: My family, good conversationalists, sports, U2, a good stretch, a cold Guinness, bacon, Third Eye Blind, Harry Potter books, a nice fire, World War 2, a girl that can cook, talking about black culture and rap music when I'm drunk, debating, my good manners, playing cards (pinochle), and laughing.Turn-offs include: Girls that smoke....smoking in general, really...Rude people, ignorance, cankles, bad teeth, Heineken, mayonnaise, gin, simple people, any snow after the first snowfall, turning the heat on full blast in the car, bad rap, cats, and of course, horses (fuck em).

My Interests

Music (HUGE on 3eb and U2), reading, writing, acting, Yankee baseball, Rachel Bilson, cliff jumping, mixology, logic puzzles, Ireland, horseballs and other drinking games, poetry...

In no particular order... 1) Pop (just one more time) 2)U2 3) Yoda 4) Third Eye Blind 5) Babe Ruth 6) Rachel Bilson 7) Babe Ruth 8) Liam Gallagher 9) John Lennon 10) MLK

Eulogy

To anyone that knew him, Bill Whalen was a great man. When news of his death traveled, I was floored by the amount of letters, cards, notes, and remembrances there were of this legend of a man. To me,...

Holidaze

Part of me feels like an ingrate. I'm ashamed that it gets to me, because under the surface it shows strength and grit and fortitude that I don't know if I possess or not. Sheer will to make it happen...
