Derick Rhodes (aka Star Maps) was formerly singer/songwriter in the German/American indiepop band Solarscape. Solarscape released two full-length records, "The Slow, Sad Truth of Other People's Lives" (in 2001) and "Secret Everything" (in 2003) on Rewika Records (www.rewika.de) in Germany and Painted Sky (http://www.ulf.co.jp/paintedsky/) in Japan. The national German music press wrote fantastic and unbelieveable things about both albums, and Solarscape toured extensively in Europe (sharing bills with bands as diverse as The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Karate, Luna, The Weakerthans and Jimmy Eat World).But that was all back in the day.At this point the story is officially about big pop jams. real editor best profile tools real editor best profile tools
