YoBZ OF THa K.A.M.P

YoBZ was born in San Francisco California on the 26th of July in 1985. He attended his first two years of high school at Thurgood Marshall in San Francisco then finished his junior and senior year at San Rafael High in Marin County. He was involved in many extra curricular activities throughout his high school career. Inspired by his older brother Damien “Diggs”, YoBZ joined the football team as a freshman and played until completion of his senior season. Football was the main source by which YoBZ was taught competition, discipline and self motivation which he knew would some day play a major role in his life. Along with football YoBZ was involved in drama and radio production with which he learned how to entertain the public. Radio production classes allowed him to experience being an on air DJ and to build compilations with various artists in the mixtape format. After awhile YoBZ found himself in the radio room before and after school and sometimes during lunch. Him and a few friends would go to the sound proof room in the back of the class room and record their vocal presentations for on air uses. Then YoBZ came up with the idea of freestyling over promotional singles of various artists. As the number of students grew YoBZ and a friend decided to make a little demo on A Dats, which later was recorded on tape and played on air. YoBZ and his classmates built a reputation for on air performances where they would freestyle, crack jokes and play demo tapes of their music. YoBZ took all of what he learned in school and in the streets and has come from a solo artist to working with one of two groups Fatal Encounter and now resides with his present group Tha Kamp. From there on after music in general became a great passion in YoBZ’s life. He was influenced by the different sounds of 2 Pac, Yukmouth, Killa Tay, Luni Coleone, E-40, CBO, Keak da Sneak, Mob Figgaz, Lil Wayne and many more to create a sound of his own.
