Rock and Roll Harmonica inspired by the poetry of broken Japanese
Catriona Sturton plays accordian, harmonica, bass, shamisen and guitar on her new material ("she seems to play everything" Ottawa XPress)
To start the year, Catriona gave sold-out harmonica workshops for The Winnipeg Folk Festival.
As a member of Halifax indie-rock favourites, Plumtree, Catriona toured Canada with Thrush Hermit and The Weakerthans and was a VIP guest on The Price is Right.
Her alter ego as a blues harmonica player ("ace harmonica skills" - Chartattack) has seen Catriona play with Neko Case, The late Dutchy Mason and Al Tuck.
Catriona was a founding member of The Secret, a Hiroshima based-garage pop band.
