Oscar Sanchez

Borned in Aguada, P.R one june of 1975. Second child out of 5 all together. I come from a family of musicians and My father is one of the pastors at the Charismatic church of Aguada, P.R. Music has always been my passion, specially drum playing. I started playing drums at the age of 14 at the church I grew up in. After I graduated high school, I went to study at the Interamericana University in San German, P.R. Then I started taking private drum lessons for 3 1/2 years with Jose Eric who is a music major from Berkley Unniversity. Thats when I started playing with different groups in P.R. I had the privilidge to play for Wilkins piano player, singer and director for two years. In 1999, I became part of a group called "Roka Eterna" directed by Ruben Hernandez who I also recorded with. I went on to play and record for Raul Burgos also a christian singer from P.R. I went on playing with defferent salsa proyects and artists throughout my life in P.R. In the year of 2000 ;also shared a passion for music and worship and was also the worship leader at her church. in 2001 we decided to come to Tampa, Fl. Here I met a group called "Espiritus 3D" and started playing with them in different occasions. We had the honor of oppening for "Cafetacuba". " Alma Vertical" and "Sharin" were among the artists I had the privilidge to play for. I'm part of the Christian Family Center worship team who is lead by Mercedes and Im also one of "Agrupacion Nueva Uncion" drumers. I just want to say that you can do anything in Christ who is the one that gives you the talents. Never give up on your dreams of becomming a GREAT musician.
