But don't get the wrong idea , i like having a good time, silly at times even ,enjoying and living life to the fullest and like bringing the best out of any situation. ~*Proverbs 2:6*~ For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.~ ~Wisdom is key in our journey to future success~ I have an optimistic perspective on life, which helps trun the obstacles i encounter, into opportunities to grow and SHINE LIKA A STARR. As Miss Ghana USA 2008- 2009 , I will use all my energy and knowledge I have attained in the United States as well as the life principles I learnt from my mother to help my brothers and sisters in Africa. I will help inform and educate them about disease control, prevention and proper health practices to minimize the spread of HIV/AIDS and other STD's, as well as other life threatening diseases such as Malaria. I also want to contribute in activities to help poverty stricken children, orphans, and young adults in Ghana. This will go long way in providing hope to these people. Mission: Gold Star is a charity organization focused on supporting deprived children and homeless people in the Ghanaian community with clothing, canned food, books, education, awareness, and faith. MY CHARITY ORGANIZATION ~*GOLD STAR*~ GOLD STAR Gold Star is a Christian Charity Organization centered on the education and support of children and the under privileged citizens of Ghana. WHAT GOLD STAR IS ABOUT At Gold Star we are reminded of what Jesus said about worrying about food, clothing and tomorrow. Jesus said: ... do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Gold Star seeks to help the less fortunate to not worry about clothing and food by soliciting donations on their behalf At Gold Star we promote education in reading, writing and in subject matter that interest the poor children and adults of Ghana. Our education interest lies with HIV/AIDS and women empowerment. Education can equip the less fortunate with knowledge that can help improve their lives. Gold Star encourages education and solicits donations of books and other education material. WHAT GOLD STAR IS DOING 1. Promoting the Love of God and the Love of Each Other. 2. Accepting donations of food, clothing and education material for the underprivileged people of Ghana 3.Encouraging general reading and writing and in specific areas of interest 4. Educating on ALL protective and preventative measures of contracting HIV/AIDS and other STDs 5. Encouraging women empowerment HOW YOU CAN HELP Please Donate: canned food, clothing, shoes, and books. By donating to Gold Star, you can help get food to a child who has not eaten a meal in days, books to a child who is eager to learn, and shoes or other clothing to the homeless who are cold at night. This will restore hope and joy into their lives and provide reassurance that someone cares, that you care. It only takes one person to make a big difference, but together we can do even more!
