Jim Henson. No, I don't mean now, like, his corpse or his ghost or anything so morbid. I wish I could meet him with me now and him then. And I'd love, love, love to meet Dean Koontz. (WARNING***WARNING*** Mini rant ahead) I despise people who automatically lump Dean Koontz in a boring genre such as horror, or who try to say, oh, he is like Stephen King, or something ... he is fully, fully, unique. His stories are engaging and have the perfect blend of mundane and bizarre to ring true. He brings humor into his novels, makes his characters perfectly flawed - after reading one of his books you know them, you could spot them if you saw them, and you miss having them around. He knows how to scare you without leaving you in that dark place that disturbs your being - and no, not like after a scary movie where you are afraid to turn off the lights or go into the basement - I mean like the dark place where you feel like there is a wrongness in the world, where your beliefs slip just a little, and you feel a bit tainted by what you have just read - that does NOT happen with his books - they are amazing. Oh, and I'd like to meet George Lucas (not like a fan gusher thing, like, it would be fun to hang out with him for a bit) ... and Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera, Annie Duke and her brother (Howard Lederer), Audio Adrenaline, and I would love to be around the idea people at Pixar and Disney as they are playign around with their movie ideas - the fun parts, you know ... and Disney Imagineers (what a great job!) and Walt Disney for that matter .... should I stop now?
