New year mix by djsun7Producer Armando Mendes a.k.a “Sun7” from Portugal as been a musician and dj since mid 90's. Its influences are much about what he achieved as a musician and connection to the music industry, that gave him and expanded a very good knowledge of musical experience a fine and eclectic musical taste. Sun7 influences are all about some old Disco stuff and raw funk, world rhythms and a large amount of jazz as the main ingredient to a good basic production of chill and down tempo tracks. Being a musician and established bass player since is 18 years old, he had a Funk band (Funkyard) that recorded an E.P. and 2 Demos tapes and gave more than 50 gigs over Portugal. Is Jazz Trio (Pacific Motion trio) had a very good feedback in the jazz scene in the Oporto area and also recorded two live demos at Fnac stores. Production wise he tends to be very melodical and full of harmony composer, very deep house style like (Jimpster, Vic & Budai, Aris Kokou, Francois Dubois, Phonique, etc…), as main references, he chooses very carefully all the beats, bass lines, loops and effects, very organic and full of composition so he can make his tracks not as mainstream as many house music tends to be. In is Curriculum he already as 4 remixes for "Hird - keep you kimi ( Sun7 deep mix)"; Christophe Goze -show me the way (sun7 remix), Sun7 - The Next Level (Audio Soul Project -Connected Acapella), Marshall Jefferson - Mushrooms Acapella (sun7 remix) and his latest Funky Lowlives – irreplaceable ( sun7 club mix ). Hi passion for deejaying started in the local Oporto clubs as reference, the Hard-Club, Bazzar, Porto-Rio, Uptown club, Casa Agricola, and this last winter he made is residence at the beach club Grão d’areia , where he had such a great feedback from the local dj community. With an excellent music selection and a very personalized style, makes is musical sets very dynamical and coherent. Recently he moved to Barcelona to search another musical experience and level.
