About Me
I am a singer and viola player focusing on contemporary music in staged performances. I work solo as well as with various constellations, such as SMOK - Swedish Modern Opera ensemble and L'Orchestre disparu (voice, flute, video).Studied at Gothenburg College of Music and Sibelius Academy, Helsinki, with additional studies in viola for Garth Knox.I participated at several contemporary music festivals, e.g. Europe-Asia2000, Stockholm New Music, Göteborg Art Sounds, Synthèses (Bourges) and the LEIF-festival in 2009 to mention a few.
Beside my own works I also perform works by Cage, Parmerud, Kagel, Aperghis, and many swedish composers (Mattias Petersson, Per Magnusson, Fredrik Österling, L-G Bodin among others) with whom she collaborated in various projects.There is a strong visual focus in the staged performances often involving video, live electronics, interactions with the audience etc.Among my recent works are the mini opera performance "Listen, please, I'm dying soon (I think)!", for solo voice and live electronics, and the new piece "To Whom It May Concern" (commissioned by Swedish Radio) an improvised multi story for solo voice, viola, live electronics and various vintage sound devices. To be premiered later this spring.
