About Me

myspace graphic

Marisa sings in rythm'n'blues band Chubby Rae and the Elevators, blues/gospel outfit The Gospel Belles and performs a soul/blues/jazz set with "internationally renowned" hammond player Tim Neal on piano. ............................................................ ............................................................ ......Chubby Rae and The Elevators, along with Marisa, are Jim Dyson (guitar), Craig Chiller (bass) and Karl Inderberg (drums) and have two albums under their belts: Live at St. Andrews (2003); She Gets Unruly (2005). Jim and Marisa formed the band in early 2000 and have been kickin' it ever since. They've played at many of Australia's major music festivals including Queenscliff, Port Fairy, Byron Bay, Goulburn, Bridgetown, Broadbeach and Gympie. She Gets Unruly recently won Album of the Year at the 2007 Australian Blues Music Awards where Marisa also took out the Female Vocalist of the Year award. ............................................................ ............................................................ ...........The Gospel Belles are Kerri Simpson, Kelly Auty and Diana Wolfe (Wolfegang) with Tim Neal on keys and have been performing together since Christmas 2005. Busy with their own individual projects, the girls are only able to come together on occasion but have still managed some quality gigs. Amongst these, a support for the Melbourne Singers of Gospel at the Spiegel tent last year and most recently the troupe tore it up at the Australian Blues Music Festival. Again the group has a fantastic, fun dynamic on stage, not taking themselves too seriously and bringing the audience into their lounge room. ............................................................ ............................................................ ..... Marisa is currently in her hometown of Darwin furthering her solo career. ............................................................ ............................................................ ... Invited to perform at the Port Fairy Folk Festival Gospel and Blues theme concert in 2007, Marisa can be downloaded along with Chris Wilson, Sarah Carroll, Fiona Boyes, Lil Fi, Kellie Auty and Laura Love (US) at https://www.liveband.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=52&pr oducts_id=80&osCsid=3fd49fc3887b7a7a592dffcb96c452a2..
