My life would not be complete with out God who continues to do great things for me and my husband Beto and my children Emmanuel and Jasmyne. They are the love of my life and my inspiration.
My husband is the real reason why I placed my music on this site. He wanted the world to hear my voice. Well my space is not the world, yet, LOL but he figured we have to start somewhere.Writers Block
Writing poetry and lyrics has always been a huge love of mine. I would often find myself writing songs in my sleep or so it seemed, because every morning I would wake up and I would immediately have a song to put on paper. Writing however, was not always this easy for me. In 2002 I developed a case of writer’s block which was largely due to my pending divorce from my first marriage. It was not until I met my ex boyfriend Jawayne (the producer of the music you are listening to now) that I realized the lyrics were still there I just needed a new inspiration.
The studio
Before August 2003 I would have never thought about going to the studio but my mother Mary Perdue (R.I.P.) said that she would love to hear me on a CD. Back then I though she was pushing me because like always she wanted me to be happy and she knew that singing made me feel very happy. However, now I know that the biggest reason she wanted me to get in the studio was because she new that her time here on earth was coming to an end. In 2005 my mom passed away of breast cancer. I thank God that he allowed me to record two of the songs she liked Thank You and You are which was played at her funeral. All of my life my mom was the one who told me to never give up on your dreams, to always have faith, and that if you believed it you would achieve it. So I am doing just thatI hope you all enjoy the musicGod Bless
