Checkpoint Charley

About Me

Checkpoint Charley is an LA-based, melodic pop band that rocks with the crunch of Weezer, the enormity of Queen, and the epic punch of Jellyfish. Our debut album, "Songs 1-12" is now available through www.notlame.com, www.cdbaby.com, and our website, www.checkpointcharley.net. The album is also available for purchase and download through the iTunes Music Superstore (and you all know where that is!) Our buttery-smooth powers of audio-harmonic justice have been unleashed on an unsuspecting public, and we are in search of legions of faithful who are not afraid to answer the call to POP. Listen to our songs. Be our friends. Pick up the baton, march out on your lawn, or the parade might just pass you by!! Help us set the world free from the monotony of popular music.

Sounds Like: Modern Drummer Magazine said: "Checkpoint Charley’s 'Songs One Through Twelve' delivers everything pop/rock fans crave: great songs, beautiful harmonies, and hooks for days...If you’re a fan of the band Jellyfish, get your hands on this CD." Amplifier Magazine said: "As it was with E.F. Hutton, when names like Jellyfish and The Tories are dropped as reference points for a band, people listen. Such is the case with Checkpoint Charley, a quartet whose full-bodied harmonies, dynamic melodies, and tantalizing chord changes will remind listeners of the aforementioned pop music legends."
