Evan Alexander likes music. Evan Alexander feels that music is an explanation for many spontaneous bouts of conception. Evan Alexander knows that certain basslines have been the beginning and the end of many a war, romance, and fierce chess matches. Evan Alexander, unfortunately, cannot do the Macarena.
Evan has had the privilege of being involved in many aspects of the scene that brings so many booties willingly, and some not so willingly (but that’s an even greater accomplishment), to the dance floor. He has had his fingers on the keys of the keyboard that has pushed out numerous reviews for some of the most respected artists in the industry. If one were so inclined they could view such inspired journalism at www.365mag.com (formerly Xpander.nl) for examples of these articles, and much more.
Evan, as a DJ, has been booked with some of the worlds best and brightest stars: John Digweed, Paul Van Dyk, Lee Burridge, Jimmy Van M., Luke Fair, MSTRKRFT, DJ Micro, Kimball Collins, Sean Cusick, Eve Falcon, Jondi & Spesh, Hisham Samawi, Eva, Kriece, Joey Mazzola, Evil Nine, and Carl Cox. Evan succesfully holds 5 different residencies in Portland, OR as well as regular gigs in San Francisco, such as SF's spin of the Love Parade.
Mr. Alexander, as a promoter, has been a wee bit busy. He has created a small production name, Expressions (taken from the name of his weekly internet broadcast at praradio.com, The Expressions Sessions) that has produced numerous shows at various Portland venues. He has also been instrumental in bringing Jondi and Spesh’s insanely popular happy hour event, Qool SF, into the Portland area.

Evan consistently pushes and promotes great music that’ll get even the most square-dancing-minded individuals to moving in spastic and unplotted figure eights…
