In February 2003, Virginia Beach, Virginia introduced the world to the charming quintet collectively known as Mae. Over two years of non-stop touring later, Mae released The Everglow in March of 2005 to both critical and fan acclaim. Not only was The Everglow an instant success with audiences, but their live show proved their talent moved even past just writing alluring hits. One year later, Mae released The Everglow SPECIAL EDITION on April 18th, 2006. Featuring three bonus tracks, new and re-conceptualized artwork, plus a bonus DVD with 2 hours of behind-the-scenes, videos, and live footage, the SPECIAL EDITION will not only give die-hard fans an amazing first-hand look into the band, but also further expose the world to the brilliance that is Mae.For their third album ‘Singularity’, Mae headed to Los Angeles, where they hooked up with producer Howard Benson. While Benson gave many of the songs on ‘Singularity’ a certain radiant sheen, he also helped the band center in on a much livelier sound. “In the past, we’ve never quite captured things the way we wanted to, so there was a very concerted effort to do that this time,†states Marshall. In a rare moment of unabashed pride Elkins says, “I really do think this is the best record that Mae has ever written. The five of us understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses now more than ever, and over the past couple years, that momentum has continued to change and grow our band in really positive ways.â€
