About Me

I am married. It's a happy thing and completely under rated. You might give it a try someday if you are intent on it working. Ask me my secret to marriage happiness. So when I graduate in May 08, I will have a psychology BS and a massage therapy license. I will be semi-marketable for when I invade SAN DIEGO! to go to graduate school. right now, I am being drawn in by consultation psychology. That is like industrial/organizational psychology, except you get to work with invdividuals too. I like business. I like psychology. I mix them together and I get my happy place! It gets better. I recently found out my university offers a joint MBA/PhD program. W.O.W.Otherwise-ly, Janet, my She-babe, is having the time of her life. Last night we lay out on the grass for an hour watching for meteors. We missed them, but I love her so it was time well spent. I wonder how that happens...In case you are wondering, Silas Knight the Magic Baby was intentional. We decided to have a baby every time one of us gets a degree. Silas Knight was an associates baby, next will be a baccalaureate baby, next will come a master baby, and then a doctor of philosophy baby come 2013 or so. Heck, if we do it right, maybe we can have some doctoral respecialization kids! And before to long we will have kids for Janet's degrees. We find it necessary that she watch the Silas for now. Every little boy needs a momma. Remember that.In a word, we are fullfilling the measures of our creations. Plus we can afford it! I work the summer sales circuit and make a sufficiant.Other than that, I practice Systema. It's a Russian thing. I grapple with a group every saturday and love it. I love the idea of using brains and classical conditioning to improve my ability to take pain and give it.In view of that, I teach a self defense class at my university. Actually, it has de/evolved into more of a grappling time for us winners. But, you know.Lastly, my Mormonism is crucial for you to understand. The higher I get in education, the less likely I become to fly off the handle and go athiest. That is remarkable. High thinking is supposed to destroy religious belief (or so they say), but in the case of Joseph Smith mormonism, it seems to only make it stronger, like the incredible hulk or jello in a cold climate. This music video pretty much sums up my religious beliefs. Doctor and the Medics - Spirit In the Sky

My Interests

Systema, Mormonism, Psychology, classical liberalism, Conservationism, Zionism, Radical Islam, moderate Islam, Luck, Behaviors that transcend luck and bring success, getting my *bleeping* doctorate degree someday, the most appropriate place to live in San Diego, Roth IRAs and large tracts of land in Montana, wealth, having Superman as a brother-in-law, listening to Silas Knight growl like a cougar in the bath tub, in church, or anytime the animal instinct drives, getting a puppy for Silas so he can learn to treat organisms well.A trailer created by Andreas Nilsson especially for the release of The Knife's Silent Shout Deluxe album, 2nd July on Brille Records

I'd like to meet:

I wonder as of late if people are individuals at all. Some argue effectively that 'personality' is just the sum of our learning and environments. I think I believe a lot of that. It's tempting then to value not individuals then but people in general, like focusing on a pulsing electrical current rather than single volts. We can look past the silliness we all do and focus on changing consequences and circumstances and create better a world. All of them, better worlds.Rolling on the Floor Laughing! Ayn Rand would kick me square in the neck if I believed that. "Atlas Shrugged" would fly off my book case and neck chop me! That is why I am not a liberal because I believe in people, and I am constantly in fear of Dagny Taggart doing me in.I know who I would like to meet! Myself! See me as I really am, the mean of my best and worse conditions. I bet I am strikingly beautiful and hideously evil at the same time. Maybe, but you would have to ask Janet, the She-babe.

Television:

We don..t have tv, but we do have a television. The media is the eye of Satan, so we have books and in-ter-net. Our theory is that this environment will be more conducive to learning and thinking on the feet. Of course for that we need horses. The only show worth watching is "Psych", anyway. And the discovery channel, history channel, military channel...

There are so many impressive people in the world. I may always be in awe of them. It's a healthy exercise to keep in touch with the most admirable among the humans and try to replicate their better traits. My wife likes this video. I like the song. We match.

Profanity

Cursing has always seemed silly to me. Someone once said, "Profanity pleads a poverty of culture". Not only is that pretty in ears, I think it is true. But one form of profanity really boggles my mind...
