He does this by tapping into real humanexperience and writing in a very personal way about things that areuniversal. He often draws from family and other elements of his personallife and environment. “Everything I write is from my heart and based uponsome personal experiences, but what I love the most is when I see that mymusic can touch other people’s hearts. The Artist at WorkThe year2006 saw Ross land a sixth place spot (out of 10,000 musical artistsglobally) in the Emergenza international music festival. He was the firstartist to independently sell an album through the Army Air Force ExchangeService (the CD “Seventy Five”); it sold on every military base in thecountry. Ross was the first musician to perform for the Katrina ReliefConcert in 2005 (in Shreveport ). His “City Lights” song was declared trackof the day ongarageband.comand also took best beat, best groove and best vocals honors. Ross has openedfor national touring acts, such as Hinder and Monte Montgomery. He has aconsistently feverish tour schedule, both locally and around the states. Heis currently working with A&R Select, the leading A&R firm in Hollywood , CA. as well as El Toro Blanco Productions in Dallas , TX . In 2007, TheJustin Ross Band took top honors at the Emergenza Regional Final in Dallas ,and took 2 nd place at the National final in Los Angeles . Rossreceived best vocalist honors at this final.
