One Drop Family

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4Established since birth, the One Drop Family is a true to form bloodline group, comprised of two brothers based in Trinidad, Indian and Silva, and their cousins, two brothers based in the US, Jaspa and Rookie. Each of these is an individual in his own right, with his own style and own history. Indian started off as a part of a young and very dangerous sound system, Code Asylum, that unfortunately ended prematurely. Silva started as a part of a Canadian group called the Riddim Runners who brought a new and unique flavour that was greatly needed in London, Ontario at the time. Re-uniting in Trinidad in 2004, Indian and Silva decided to combine their talents and experiences to form a new entity, The One Drop Family. At the same time, Jaspa, now based in Atlanta was in the process of leaving his previous home, a group of talented individuals known as Black Kronic, and needed a new home. Rookie, based in New York is one of the most talented individuals of the group, both djing and producing music, and a recent member of both the One Drop and Rough Rider families. All of these unique and varied entities have now come together to form one of the most original sound systems to be seen and heard in a long time. A dynamic bunch of guys, each of whose personalities come through crystal clear through what has been known not to be a dj set...but a performance...everytime they grace the tables. Unlike most other dj's you will see, all members of the group can mc, dj and control any angle of the performance and they do so interchangeably. There is not much more to say but to keep on the lookout for the One Drop Sound, The number One Underground Sound around town....ACTIVATE!!!!!
