Born Destin THibodeaux, in New Orleans Louisiana Onset has been involved in music since a very young age. He graduated from N.O.C.C.A (New Orleans Center For Creative ARts) in 1999 as a jazz major, bass was his primary instrument, received a scholarship to a jazz conservatory in New York City, but turned it down because he didn't want to be confined to one type of music. He began to produce electronic music and djaying all throughout the region, primarily drum and bass. Around 2002 He got heavy into graffity and put music aside. It wasn't until 2003 that he began to produce hip hop for Falcon Entertainment, a friend of his encouraged him to do an album for him so he did, it had moderate underground success, but after Katrina Onset landed his first local hit single with Falcon Entertainment artist Crizmatik, call "before your gone," everyone called it the Katrina song. It was the longest running 1 song on the countdown in the history of b97. Then in 2006 he linked up with the producer of "I Smoke I Drank," The Beatdoctor "aka 7'th Ward Soldia"and decided to join his team. Since then Onset has been working with artist such as Gar and Snipe form the Chopper City Boys, Baby Boy, Dolla, and the whole Beatdoctor Music Camp and more, So be on the look out!
