About Me

Sabrina Prichard was born in 1989, Sweden. With a father coming from California, USA and a Swedish mother she inherited two nationalities. She started playing the piano aged 8 at the local music school but many other hobbies lured her away from the music. She quit the music school, then went back, then quit again.Year 2004 she found her way back to music when she tried out an old diatonic accordion that she had found in her grandfathers cupboard Christmas Eve. After that she was hooked. Now she and her accordion are inseparable! She has became quite known in the "Accordion World" of Sweden and has met many famous accordionists, although, her journey has only just begun! Her teacher is Tommy Nilsson, composer and music teacher at the local music school.Christmas of 2006 she stayed in France during three weeks studying the bayan for Frédéric Deschamps, jury of most of the international accordion competitions and president of the Trophée Mondial (CMA). She returns to France now and then to study for Fred when she has holidays and different breaks from school.Spring of 2006 she started to play the violin. The 22nd of September, 2007 she attended a masterclass for the Russian accordeon professor Friedrich Lips from Moscow and the 30th of the same month she attended a masterclass for the Russian professor Oleg Sharov from St.Petersburg.
