Doujaman movement was officially formed by Ringolero in 2005, however most members have grown up or worked together in some way long before that. The Douja’s aim is to bring people a greater understanding of life and what goes on around them through music and the whole Douja culture. With so many members of varying ages and personalities, you get the whole perspective from the ‘youngers’ point of view to the ‘olders’.
The music produced by the group falls into the ‘Hardcore Hip-Hop’ category, though some members are harder than others. They have been known to experiment with various other genres, but have foundations in Reggae, Hip Hop and Drum & Bass music. Members include the C.E.O. of the Doujaman Movement; Ringolero. Young Shellz, Young Hamz, Snake, Rai-Child, Scamer of the rap group The RiSc and Synista Hustler of Hustler Enterprises.
All members are from South London, UK, and the Douja Base is located in Brixton. As well as rapping, Doujaman movement members also produce beats (Hip Hop & Drum & Bass), the in house design team produce all artwork (such as CD covers & myspace backgrounds) and logos for the camp and they also have a fashion designer who is currently worling on the forth-coming Doujaman clothing line.
The Doujaman movement mixtape is due out early 2008 with all members contributing to this highly anticipated release. In the mean time there are many releases due from the individual members, Scamer’s mixtape is due out autumn 07, Synista Hustlers mixtape is due out winter 07, Young Shellz and Young Hamz’ mixtape is also due out winter 07 and finally Ringolero’s mixtape entitled ‘Hard Bars from the Graveyard’ is due out in October 07.
