Blackbird 45 pays homage to Texas Blues by performing a large cross-section of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s catalog as well as music by Dallas native Doyle Bramhall II (son of Stevie’s friend and co-writer Doyle Bramhall), Buddy Guy and others. They also write and perform original music with that unmistakable Texas Blues “tune low, play hard and floor it†sound.Perhaps Stevie’s friend and fellow Austin guitarist Eric Johnson said it best – “An artist’s talent can be largely judged or evaluated on the impact they have on others, and the number of those who, in the artist’s aftermath, continue to emulate as well as carry on their unique styleâ€. Blackbird 45 is proud to be doing just that.
