I started playing music when I was 6 years old - writing since I was 11. Although my resume' looks like someone just pulled careers out of a hat randomly, music has always been a very important part of my life, and how I've made a living for a number of years at different periods in my life.
The two things I've always enjoyed most were performing and teaching. Whether it was music, acting, or playing sports, I've been in front of people since 1st grade.
I've also coached, taught, and trained in a number of different situations, and find that as fulfilling as performing, if not more-so. I've always been the person friends and family come to for help, and have embraced that role.
When I moved to Nashville to focus on my music, I had gotten to a point in my life where I realized the performing career was not something I had the desire or energy to do any longer, but songwriting, which has been a love of mine since I was very young, was something I could do until I die, (or loose my mind whichever comes first)
Since coming to Nashville, I've performed at most all of the songwriter venues in town, been on the Opry Star Spotlight show on WSM Radio, hosted my own Writer's Night (Fat Tuesday at the French Quarter), written with some great writers and artists, worked as part of the NSAI Song Camp Staff for 4 years and made some wonderful friends both in and out of the music business.
One thing I learned about songwriting sucess in this town long ago... it's a marathon...not a sprint. Well, I'm here for the long haul, and love this community.
I toured briefly with Doug Stone as his FOH Sound Tech while he was in between techs. It was a blast hanging out with Doug and his band. He's a great talent, and and even better person, and his band members are incredible. I've also gotten my Pro-tools certification, and have my own small demo studio for recording songs for me and my friends.
If you want to co-write, have some coffee, pick my brain, or just talk... contact me. That's why I'm here... come to think of it... isn't that's why we're all here
Have a great today, a better tomorrow, and be able to look back on everything as a treasured memory...
