Rus Robert Blemkeris the writer and director of this comedy. He takes great pride in being counted among the many talented teachers, performers and technicians in the Chicago film community. The experience he has gained performing in the city’s comedy clubs and working on its film sets has been irreplaceable. Creating films that will both challenge and entertain an audience of his peers is the driving force behind his work.As a practicing architect, Rus brings a developed style, self-criticism and thoroughness not normally seen on film sets. He relishes the different design challenges film demands; where one actor’s sigh or a different musical movement can change the entire thrust of the film.The tradition of artists sharing resources as a way to create great works and build community is very important to Rus. He has donated architectural services to The Artist Home and Live Bait Theater, as well as, storyboarding and assistant directing countless independent films for colleagues.
