In a city well known to outsiders as paradise haven or a gateway of sorts, the effervescing talent that resides in Miami is often times overlooked due to the very nature that makes South Florida the going attraction that it is; thus making the journey towards stardom in an industry like the music business a road less taken for many; but luckily not for all. J. Sincere, 24, stands among the select few who have taken the challenge of uprising as a gifted lyricist in a city trying to earn its place as the next mecca in Hip Hop. Aware of his dexterity with words and his ability to turn the hardships of real life into melodic remedies, the Peruvian emcee, born in Passaic, & living in Paterson, NJ, moved to Miami around the time Hurricane Andrew ripped south Florida a new one.
In the spring of 2004, Sincere released his first mix tape, How Gully Can You Rate Dis? V.1 during South Florida's premier urban entertainment weekend, Memorial Day weekend. With 5,000 copies flooding the streets of South Beach, people were starting to take notice. With that ammo, Sincere was back in the lab working on his second mix tape, of 10,000 copies For Memorial Weekend. How Gully Can You Rate Dis? V.2, The Sopranos Edition EP. The making of this masterpiece made way for several more opportunities for Sincere and his company, Double M P. Just months prior to the 2005 Memorial Day release date, Sincere was featured on the cover of 305hiphop.com, an online Hip Hop magazine dedicated to spotlighting Miamis finest and most talented independent artists. Proceeding that endeavor, on the eve of his second release, Sincere was also featured on the cover Memorial Day Guide of DaSeen Magazine, an urban publication in South Florida targeting both national and independent entertainers.He already had the peoples attention from his debut, now it was time to make them listen. In the midst of finishing his third installment and putting in hours close knit to any top mogul prior to their untouchable status, Sincere found himself in a position he's never been before. A bidding war between some of the most highly anticipated independent labels in Miami showcasing a strong sense of interest in his style. Strictly focusing on making Vol. 3 a street classic, the tracks on record continue to paint a colorful yet detailed portrait of an immaculate city. With the addition of the DVD, Vol.3, The CD/DVD Edition is not just for the ears to indulge, but for the eyes to engage.
The special edition Mixtape DVD isn't the only thing J. Sincere is introducing to the masses. Crucial Vibe, a close relative of Sincere, shares the same vision and hunger for expressions through lyrics. Born in Long Island, NY, Vibe was known as reputed street figure before moving to Orlando, FL. The same city known as the best place on earth can become an ill-fated form of existence for some. After years of struggle, Vibe felt the streets were the only way out. His lethal teenage reputation was from a blood thirsty ore of living a crazy life, as personified on one of his tattoos; a baby in diapers with handcuffs around his wrist. After several stints in and out of various detention centers, the law finally caught up with him. Currently serving an eight year sentence but still with faith, he sees the sun shining from the front gate; the only thing blocking vibe from freedom. Its only a matter of time before youll get to hear Vibes hardship turned into conscious words.
