About Me

Vox: Voices for Planned Parenthood at Virginia Commonwealth University believes in the fundamental right of every individual to manage his or her fertility. Vox supports full access to comprehensive reproductive and complementary health care services in settings that preserve and protect the essential privacy and rights of each individual; advocates public policies that guarantee these rights and ensure access to such services; and supports access to medically accurate educational programs that enhance understanding of human sexuality.
VOX is pro-choice. It is important to note that pro-choice signifies "freedom to choose" and is not synonymous with "pro-abortion." VOX supports your right to make informed decisions about health, sexuality, and family planning. Regarding abortion, we support the right to an informed decision, whether this decision be life, adoption, or abortion. We do not encourage or promote abortion above other options.
Vox exists to educate the university community about reproductive health and rights, to translate increased awareness into pro-choice activism on campus, and to serve as a coalition partner to state, national, and international reproductive rights efforts.
