About Me

Brian has certainly started to forge his own path through the music business. Growing up in a household of 2 teenagers of the 80’s and parents that listened to a wide variety of music, Brian was turned on to the music in a big way listening to everything from Pink Floyd, Journey, and Foreigner to Metallica, Def Leppard, and Bon Jovi. At the age of 14, Brian received his first guitar for Christmas. Shortly thereafter, he self taught himself all of his favorite songs that he had wanted to learn for years, and within a year started to write his own music. Throughout his high school years, he played in a couple of local youth bands just for fun, but on the side developed his own style of playing by learning several main band instruments including drums, piano, and bass guitar. Brian was quickly evolving from a kid with a dream to a serious musician. At the age of 17, Brian was asked to play lead guitar for the band Sinner’s Prayer, a local hard rock group fronted by Brian’s cousin Jeff Jackson. This opportunity gave Brian the chance to shine on guitar, and show what he could do with some experienced musicians. After several local shows, they soon recorded the infamous album "For the Love of God" with Brian handling all guitars and displaying his unique style of writing. The album went on to sell a fair amount of copies for a independent release. After three years, he left the band in the Winter of 2002-03 for undisclosed reasons. He attended college for the next 3 years, and during the first year wrote several songs taking a different direction in music. In the Summer of 2003, Brian began to work on his first solo work entitled "The Resurrection Part I". The E.P. was a major contrast from his earlier work with Sinner's Prayer taking on a more pop-rock sound, and in 2006, Brian carried on the traditional pop rock sound with his first full length record entitled, "Long Way From Home". On top of writing and recording all the songs on the album, he soley played all the instruments, produced and mixed it as well. Brian plans to release what he calls his greatest accomplishment to date, this Summer, with his new album entitled "The Hope Of Heaven And The Fear Of Hell", which promises to be another great milestone in a lifetime of enjoyable music for all.
