About Me

The band started as an avant-garde just for fuckin' fun thing, like a "let's do something whit ourselves" performance from a hungarian town in november '97. In that time the Black metal wave was living its climax and we fell under its influence (I and two of my friends). In the beginnings the music was simple/primitive and eclectic, it is incomprehensible why we did, what we have done like that, if we look back from the present. In 1998 we realised our first demo in copyrighted editon, which was entitled "Morzsák a merengés asztaláról" (Crumbs from the table of musing/day-dreaming). Suprisingly it met whit a warm response, we gave interviews for different hungarian and foreign fanzines (the reason is that the dark-industrial-noise black metal was rare in that time), although it was recorded on a trashy cassette, whit photocopied cover ..etc, which didn't provide good sounding, even so about 300 pieces have been ordered, and it get to Japan too. Because of inner problems-argues we broke up in the middle of 1998. At that time everything finished, only i felt void, which i couldn't replace, so after a little pause i continued alone, about 2000 that was realised also on casette (photocopied cover, but better sounding), well an odd formation. On the casette A side, Bodega-B - "Mindenség-rög" (Every-clod) was placed, which was more mature than its embryonic and insane predecessor, on the B side a mediaeval ambient music, which was an interpretation of the influence of Mortiis - äCyrpt of the wizardö; it was named Proklos "Háborgó-örök-háborúk" (Tempestuous-eternal-wars). Both sides were 45-45 minutes long musical composition, they were fully instrumental, and they only contained the raw music. My intention whit it was a 'trailer', not a final version, it would be reworked in a studio and after adding the vocals introduced. From this nothing came true, because the computer, which contained the whole stuff, samplers, ideas, complete tracks and plans was completely reformat in a service, everything lost. In that time i thought that is the end, a lot of hard work was gone, well 3 years daily work, so after this i got into a tapering-off cure from medicines, later (in the beginning of 2004) into drug rehabilitation too. Now it's 2007, when i try to remix, revive the rest of the music (they can be found here an there saved) and i try to start something whit that old myself, firstly for myself, but if you like it, to you too..I don't change the band name, i beleive today, that a 11 years ago founded thing should exist, if it can... The name can be misunderstand, and it can seem funny (that's why it can be memorise so easily, haha). In contrast whit this the origin is from the master of fear-making, Alfred Hitchcock's Birds movie, the story take place in a city called Bodega Bay. But this name appears in the horror movie, Puppet Master too; where the events take place in a seeside hotel, named Bodega B. On the first demo we used poems from Juhász Ferenc (a hungarian very abstract and sick surreal poet), the hyphened compound came from him, whit that he liked attaching inconsistent words. The outcome is Bodega-B (it's a little similar to Zyklon-B), we tried to show our affection to horror in the music too, however the primary aim wasn't to awake fear, and that's the same today too..
