I moved to Bristol last year to go a bit deeper into the world of Drum and Bass in a city that has been dominated by it for over a decade. What I found when I got there was a slower, deeper roar they called 'Dubstep'. Bristol is now known as Dubstep's second city (after London where it was born). Instantly I was hooked and quickly found myself obsessively buying more and more records. I wanted to quickly build up my collection ready to bring back to the deep south west in Cornwall where I grew up.
I am going to be making a massive effort this summer to push the Dubstep scene in Cornwall to the next level. Big up SUBHEAVY for getting amongst it already! Can't wait for N-Type at the end of the month!
Also keep an eye out for Freerange Party Society events where you will be treated to fresh cutting edge tunes, played by some of the most dedicated urban music enthusiasts in the South West. All (good) music tastes will be catered for at their nights including Drum and Bass, Breakbeat, Hip Hop, Electro House and Dubstep. Not to mention some ground breaking headline acts that are not to be missed. There will be some wicked parties over the summer from these guys which are not to be missed!Im also into other stuff apart from music. In the summer is when it happens. Im always down at the beach, I took up skimboarding which Im rubbish at but its so much fun. I love getting out in the countryside and just spending a few hours chilling down by the water. Luckily I have an experienced woodsman called Crocodile Loz-zee who is my guide.I cant really say I have any other specific hobbies, I like to keep doing different stuff when ever I can. Like I love going for a game of golf every now and again, windsurfing, surfing, mountian biking, skateboarding, pub quiz, fun fair, cinema, trying to scare ourselves shitless at Baldhu, sand dune rafting, seeing my friends, meeting new people, beating old people (Hahaha nah just kiddin, or am I?), and cooking! What phone?I hope when people meet me they see me for what I am which is just a fun loving person who always tries to make sure everyone else is having a good time, and doesnt want to be involved in needless bullshit drama that belongs on eastenders. To say that life is too short is an understatement, thats if you knew you would live to a hundred. The fact is that any one of us could be killed tomorrow so why spend any time arguing about crap.If its important, fight for it.
If it isnt, put it behind you right there and then.
We dont need any more shit in our lives, we have to deal with plenty as it is. If someone makes you mad, save the energy and release it in shape form on the dancefloor, you'll be the Mack Daddy my friend.Feel free to add me or say hi if you see me out.
