About Me

In 1993 I was brought to my first rave. Melinda, Shawn, Liezl, Andrew, Mike Rivera and crew all went to Essence in a Long Island Warehouse location. My hair was long and in braids thanks to Melinda and Shawn. When I walked in the party, the music and bass pounding, everybody was dancing and bouncing around. Everybody was so happy to be there it was then I motivated to become a DJ.
The more parties I would attend, I always always watch the DJs mix the records and I eventually learned to mix the records myself. I would go shopping for records every Tuesday at Groove Records on Avenue U in Brooklyn, New York. At the time I was spinning hardcore techno records sold to me by Adam X and Jimmy Crash. As my love for hardcore techno was great, I found myself diving into other styles of electronic music. Specifically hard acid techno, heart pounding hard techno motivated by such DJs like Adam X, Jimmy Crash, and Frankie Bones who at the time was spinning some of the greatest techno music for the early 90s.
At the time I needed to come up with a name for myself as a DJ or stage name. I had no idea what to call myself. One day I was having some serious fun, up to no good, with Mike Rivera. Mike had me laughing as he is so great at doing. Mike noticed there was a V in my forehead when I would laugh or break out into emotion.
Mike then decided that my name would be Lord V because there is a V implanted in my forehead. Thus the name DJ Lord V was born. At first I found it completely silly but then it just caught on and for 9 years from 1993-2002 I would DJ at parties, clubs, raves and what have you as DJ Lord V.
I met Djamee while shopping for records at Groove in Brooklyn one day. We later teamed up for form a team of DJs and promoters called Solution Network. We were out every Friday & Saturday at clubs and parties, DJing, promoting & networking. During that time we would host all kinds of parties, outlaws, weeklies, and a few one off rave parties. We would later part ways to pursue our own agendas.
In December of 1994 I hosted my first party in New York City at a private dance studio. It was my first true experience hosting an event and taught me a lot of things about hosting and promoting for parties. I was involved with throwing illegal outlaw parties in warehouses and under bridges. Sometimes in clubs in New York City. In addition I hosted my own series of Boat Parties in Long Island.
From 1996-1998 I would take a break from the scene to focus more on my personal life. In 1999 I got back in the game with a stronger promotion and a new attitude. At a time when internet was still on the rise of being popular, I crossed paths with a Las Vegas group of webcasters who hosted shows on the internet weekly.
From 1999-2001 I was one of the first DJs in the electronic music scene to host one of the first internet radio programs and set fourth a trend which other DJs would eventually follow to host live streaming music on the internet with chat.
With my strong technical background, knowledge of computer hardware, software and configuration, I knew this was my calling to host my very own weekly internet radio electronic music program at www.eternalbeats.net I DJed every week on my show and had many guest DJs appear. I was spinning electronic music of different genders like techno, house, breaks, breakbeats, old skool, hardcore and more.
In mid 2002 I decided to end my DJing career and took up solo guitar which is what I'm currently involved with. I mainly study flamenco guitar as well as classical guitar in addition to various goodies that appeal to me like some rock and so fourth. I'm currently living in Long Beach, New York extremely close to the beach.
