Choppers Hot Rod Association

The Club, founded in 1956, by a few members of the Road Phantoms who broke away to for "The Choppers". In 1962 the NHRA and Hot Rod Magazine honored the Choppers Hot Rod Accociation in the August issue naming them as the Club of the month with a pictorial and presented the club with a banner. Later in the 60's, the Choppers fielded 3 Top Fuel dragsters and a funny car as well as organizing annual in Rod $ Custom Shows and became the first club to help promote the inaugural AutoRama in Downtown Cleveland. Since 1956, except when it falls on a holiday, meetings have held every Thursday evening. Presently, the club has more than 43 vehicles that include hot rods, customs, muscle cars, a funny car and a top alcohol dragster.
