About Me

Jules Haycock is a London based jazz singer.Originally a trumpeter, Jules decided to to swap the horn for the mic after graduating from Leeds. Upon returning to London she participated in various courses including coaching from Laura Zakian and Anita Wardell. Now, Jules can be found performing at London jazz venues such as: The Soho Pizzeria, The County Arms and Merton Abbey Mills as well as most Thursdays at Tapanco, Wimbledon. A recent highlight of Jules' gigging calender was performing at the sell out opening night of the Cannizaro Park Festival.Musical collaborations include duo gigs with guitarist Andy Ruiz Palma and pianists Rich Luck & Paul Eldridge. Jules also performs with larger ensembles at private functions including weddings and black tie dos.Jules‘ musical influences are broad ranging, from Anita O'Day to Stevie Wonder. Her favouties tunes to sing are are those that lend themselves to swing: Is you is or is you Ain't (my baby)', 'Almost like being in Love' and it 'Don't Mean a Thing (if it ain't got that Swing).
