An avid dance music (disco at the time) listener, be began his DJ career by spinning at home as a hobby. Eventually he got tired of the -80 below wind chills the windy city had to offer and longed for a more habitable surrounding. Not wanting to leave the snow he moved to Denver Co. There among the beauty of the mountains, a change in life style and a world never explored by the "City Boy", his music also took a turn for change.Ambient keyboard electronica and the guitar began to take over and he began experimenting with strings and the beauty that old world music had to offer. Never learning how to play an instrument but having the gift of hearing a song a few times and playing it, he began remixing other peoples music.Now 20 years later he has had the honor of remixing ambient music for artists such as Sleepthief, Elu, Amethystis, Julia Claire (Sirisat) Delerium and many others not to mention he still has his dance itch. He has also done remixes for Depeche Mode and Darude.Always busy, MikelD also helps to promote (for free) independent artist on his own website.
