About Me

Well well, you've arrived at my myspace.. I guess you'd like to know a little about me.. here goes...I live in Chesterfield, Derbyshire which is an historic market town famous for it church with a crooked spire. Its slap bang next to the peak district which is great as it means i can get on a bus and be in the middle of no where in 10 minutes. I enjoy mountain biking with friends or alone. At present i work behind a bar at a pub run by my mum and eldest sister. I also work with live bands on a weekend which is fantastic as i love music, its like a hobby i get paid for (No Rik, that doesn't mean i'll take a pay cut). Plus I start a new 'real' job soon which has taken too long, in my opinion, to sort out!I have some very good friends but i can usually get on with anybody, Old, young, rich, poor, funny and serious. There is now also a Beautiful girl in my life called Louise who seems to enjoy the things i do, which is always a bonus in my eyes.i'm here to make new friends and make people smile. like most people i have good days and bad days.i was un/lucky enough to be on the "cool new people" section when i started my profile which got me a lot of 'friends' in my first week or so. The people on my list now are nice, friendly people (for the most part anyway).Feel free to comment on my page or send mail. I'm not on here as much as i used to be but i'll always try to reply.people that share my birthday: Born on 25th Dec: 1937 - O'Kelly Isley ( of The Isley Brothers; deceased ) 1940 - Pete Brown ( lyricist for Cream ) 1944 - Kenny Everett ( vocalist, radio and TV presenter; deceased ) 1954 - Annie Lennox ( vocalist, The Tourists / Eurythmics ) 1954 - Robin Campbell ( guitarist, vocalist, UB40 ) 1957 - Shane McGowan ( guitarist, lead vocalist, The Pogues ) 1971 - Noel Hogan ( guitarist, The Cranberries ) 1971 - Dido ( full name Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle Armstrong )

My Interests

live music, mountain biking, being with good friends and trying to keep the gorgeous smile on my girls face!

I'd like to meet:

interesting people.. not celeb types.. whats the point, we know the colour of their sheets anyway! Fred dibnah was high on my list but i don't think he has much to say now (RIP Mr Dibnah). Baron von munchausen would tell a good story or too i think! ;) other than that i'm not stuck on meeting "famous" people. adopt your own virtual pet!

Music:

if you have time just play my playlist below... do your washing to it, chill to it, play it for your kids or dance

Movies:

I'm not really a film kind of guy but faves include LEON, all the hannibal lecter films (the books are much better). fave from being a kid: The adventures of Baron von munchausen. I enjoy most things based on michael crichton books.

Television:

erm... isn't that the thing that collects dust in the corner? then you just write rude graffiti in that dust.. although i can be persuaded to watch the hollyoaks omnibus in bed on a sunday morning.

Books:

thomas harris, michael crichton, terry pratchett, wilbur smith and a few more i'd like to mention but can't quite see my bookcase from here.

Heroes:

Fred Dibnah ~~RIP~~ "i've never fallen off a big chimmney, you only do that sort of thing once!" My brother. don't mess with him, he's a cycle path!
