The collaboration of DISCORDIA began under the direction and guidance of visionary Joseph Panno. Out of the ashes of his former band Minus Infinity, Joseph chose to pursue the extreme route along with longtime companion Eric Humble (guitar). Following the demise of their former band; the two sought companionship with two Gulfport extreme musicians Zack Notter and Joel Stepp(both of Dead for Ten Weeks and Bloodchurn fame). The idea is to portray a progressive, yet uncompromising display of technical brutality, to rival that of the heavyweights in the scene while in commeration of those that inspired them: Golem, Cynic, Death, Carcass, etc. After some consideration, conversation and inspiring television programs, however, the name of the band has changed to Built to Destroy to better reflect the direction the music and the attitudes of the band members are taking.
