About Me

Born in the rockies, traveled the world, done a million crazy things, and still searching. I've written over 600 songs between 1990 and 2008 and still finding new ideas. I finally have my artistic refuge while living in a cabin on the mountainside in Wyoming where I find inspiration and peace away from the chaos of the world. I believe in making the world a better place in any way possible and dedicate much of my life to volunteering to help people less fortunate. My Education: Bachelors of Music Composition- 1997 Missouri State University. Bachelors of Music Education- 2005 Idaho State University. My Profession: Music Teacher K-6: Lincoln County School District 2, Star Valley, WY I also teach lessons on guitar, piano, and band instruments in Western Wyoming and Eastern Idaho.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Luke Thomas Kratz
Influences: Just what ever comes to me- it's all very spritual! As far as what I enjoy listening to and may indirectly or directly influence me I have one of those long lists of bands/musicians. They include Bach, Korsakov, Stravinsky, Bela Bartok, The Beatles, John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Sunny Day Real Estate, Jeremy Enigk, Bob Dylan, Mana, The Monkees, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, The Who, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Damien Rice, Benfolds Five, Sheryl Crowe, 311, Johnny Cash, Bob Marley, U2, Live, Nirvana, The Mommyheads, Tripping Daisy, Jill Cohn, Collective Soul, Nickel Creek, Queen, Elliot Smith, Pearl Jam, STP, Filter, String Cheese Incident, Wilco, The Crash-test Dummies, Counting Crows, Train, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Leonard Cohen, Tom Petty, Carlos Santana, and various funk and jazz players... and many, many more. I love local music the best when it does its own thing and tells the story of real thoughts and situations both deep and shallow.
Sounds Like: I believe in sharing my music with the world, but what you hear on Myspace is just a rough sample. Making music is for my own expression and I don't ever want to just write what people want to hear. I like my songs and I hope you do too.

Some things I try to live by (I actually thought up and worded these myself)

1. Though life is crazy and a bit rough at times things always get better if you let them. 2. Always look for the best in people. We can't trust everyone, but we lose out on much more if we write...
