About Me

LONG STORY SHORTI started playing music as a kid as part of a family bluegrass and folk group. In the late 70's (and totally immersed in new wave and punk) I formed a band called Heathen Girls in my hometown of Atlanta. In the 80s that band had evolved into Face of Concern. FOC was "under development" with I think every existing label at one time or another....FOC disbanded in '93, and in '95 I released my first solo album, "Get Off the Cross We Need the Wood."I moved to Nashville in '97 as I felt my Atlanta muse had left me. I've been doing some fun things since then without the pressure of band members, gigs, etc....you know, all the glamorous stuff that goes along with playing music.I'm just trying to have some fun now and enjoy what I'm doing, and hopefully a few other folks will too.So I'm just posting some songs here that I've written/co-written and/or produced recently...and perhaps some things from my past...another solo album is in the works (has it been 12 years since "Get Off the Cross"?)"Where I'm Supposed to Be" is a recent song, and thanks to my friend and neighbor The Incredible Dana Radford for singing it for me.Last year, I completed the first country album I've ever produced - it's by my old friend Cindy Standage. Go to www.cindystandage.com for more information and details.I've also included a song from the mary nails, which I played on, co-wrote and co-produced....we've just started playing out live, and have had a blast so far...Love and peace to all, hope you stop by and say hello...
